Floral Egg Decor...Great For Centerpieces!
These beautiful floral Egg Decorations are easy to make and very inexpensive to make. They can be placed in little wicker baskets and used as table centerpieces for your Easter Dinner.
Materials Needed:
- Eggs (not boiled)
- Long needle
- Food coloring
- Fabric scrap booking flowers
- glue
Directions:
- First, decide what you are going to do with the egg yolk because nobody can afford to simply throw it away because they want to make this decoration ;)
- Use the large needle to piece a hole in the bottom of the egg. Then make a slightly larger hole in the top of the egg. Move the needle around inside the shell to break the yolk.
- Blow into the small hole to drain the egg out of the shell (into a cup or bowl). You can use a straw if you don't want to put your lips to the shell.
- Rinse the egg out under water and blow the water out of the shell. Then allow the shell to dry overnight.
- After coloring the egg with food coloring, allow them to dry completely before attaching fabric flowers.
- Use small drops of glue to secure flowers, using gently pressure and then release.
- Place the decorated eggs in any wicker basket, Easter basket or bowl and use as a centerpiece for your table. You can also use Easter grass or brown craft paper shreds in the basket for a completed look.
