Magnificent Valentine's Butterfly Magnet Craft
Lil' hands love big hearts! This frosty February, dig out the craft box and give your kids something creative and festive to make. This butterfly magnet is sure to brighten up any refrigerator, freezer or teacher's desk.

- Red and white foam sheets
- pipe cleaner
- googly eyes
- scissors
- magnet
- glue
- pen or permanent marker
How To:
- Cut out 4 large foam hearts for the wings. Then cut out 7 small foam hearts for the wing centers, body and head. See image for color coordination. Next cut out 2 tiny hearts for the antennae.
- Glue one small heart onto the center of a large (wing) heart. Arrange the wing hearts with the points together and overlapping sides. Use a small bead of glue to secure wings.
- Glue 3 small hearts in a line and overlapping point to top for body/head. Then secure body to wings with glue.
- Glue googly eyes to create a face and use a pen or marker to draw a smile.
- Cut the pipe cleaner into 2 small, equal parts and attach the 2 tiny hearts to the top with glue. Secure the pipe cleaner to the butterfly's head with glue.
- Glue magnet to the back and allow to dry before hanging.
